In India there are six seasons they are
a. Spring - Vasantam (All trees have green small leaves) in this season.nature glow with a new light and greenery.
b. Summer - Greeshmam - Hot season
                   - Varsha Rutuvu - season of rains
                  - Sharat Rutuvu - season of moonlight
c. Winter - Hemanta Rutuvu - season of cold
                - shishira Rutuvu - season of balling all leaves of trees.
As per Lunar Calendar this seasons are change for two months.

Solar Calendar


This calendar based on sun. as per solar calendar one year has 364 days. Telugu people celebrate festivals as per lunar calendar. And celebrate sankramanas as per solar calander. But as per Lunar calendar one year has 354 day and as per solar calendar 364 day. Ina foequence of 2 to 3 years they add a leap month per lunar calendar. They called that leap month Adhika Masam. Telugu people also use one another calendar Jupiter calendar. They celebrate pushkaras to rivers as per this calendar. The Jupiter compltes a cycle around sun for every 12 years

Lunar Calender depends upon movement of moon. As per this calendar one year has 354 days. As per puranas the moon has 27 wives. They are 27 stars. Their names are
Chitta the moon stay near chitta star that month is knows as chaitra masam and Vishaka - vyshaka masam
Jhyeshta - Jhyeshta masam
Purvashada - ashada masam
Shravana - shraavana masam
Purvabhadra - bhadrapada masam
Ashwani - ashwayuja masam
Krittika - kartika masam
Mrugashira - margashira masam
Pushyami - pusya masam
Makha - magha masam
Phalguna - phalguna masam
A month has 29.5 days averagely. The days of months called Tidhulu. Thidhulu are
